My room was lovely - it had a double and a single. The bed was divine So comfy with lovely pillows lovely mattress and a lovely cosy quilt! I had a fantastic sleep. The room itself was not dirty but, there were some oversights in terms of cleaning as pictured. It's left me thinking that maybe other areas weren't clean but just didn't show up finger prints like the light switches.

The room door was dreadfully heavy and there was residue running down the door of where something like wd40 was sprayed. I wouldn't consider staying again, I do stay again. I travel often to Dublin and this is one of my regular stays. The staff always go the extra mile when providing a service.

The hotel has free wi-fi which is always an additional bonus and worth mentioning. In addition, the food at the hotel restaurant is excellent. The service is fantastic.

I often ask for the quietest possible room and in some cases I get a free upgrade depending on how busy it is - though this could be a regular customer thing : If you are visiting Dublin and staying at this hotel, there is a bus company called Aircoach and have a bus terminal outside Terminal 2, ask for the AirCoach bus to Leopardstown. The very, very last bus stop is the Clayton Hotel the front door. Warning, there is two Clayton hotels on the route, don't get off at the first one. Date of stay: December Value.
