Speed dating is a fun, action-packed way to meet a large number of new people in a short period of time. Singles will spend three to five minutes chatting to see if any spark of romance arises. When both people tick the box indicating that they would be interested in meeting again, we will put you in touch with each other. The possibilities are endless! There is a spectacular view from the room across the river which is extra good at night with the lights across the water and the ships moving up and down. There is free Wifi. The bath room had an old fashioned shower and although clean, needed attention to the grouting around the base of the shower. These are problems simple to fix which should be identified by the house keeper.
The breakfast room is downstairs in the accommodation section, not in the bar where there is a main dining room and bar area, where lunches and dinner are served. There is the usual juice and cereal choices before you get to the cooked food.
Bizarely the cereals were already poured into the bowls when we came down - so at a table for four there was a bowl containing cornflakes, another with muesli and another with Weetabix. We never saw the packets or found out what happens if more than one person wanted the same cereal. None of us wanted cereal so the bowls were removed. We ordered the full Irish which had sausage, bacon, choice of egg, tomato, mushrooms and black and white pudding. Freshly cooked and came with toast and tea or coffee. The bacon was well done with a bit of crispness to the rind and none of that white stuff that blights a lot of rashers now adays.
Breakfast is breakfast and this one met expectations. Service was pleasant and efficient and despite a problem with our bill, which was immediately solved when pointed out, we enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Get a sea view room on the second or third floor. Ireland 23 contributions 33 helpful votes. Had family staying from over seas, and wanted to treat them to a good meal locally. To say we were disappointed, is an understatement. We had a mixture of starters from chowder to melon, all extremely small portions, especially the mussels, but not small prices!
Another ordered salad and veg with his main, he was given chips and salad! All in all, a very overpriced and very disappointing meal. Not one, out of six of us, were able to say we enjoyed it. Extremely overpriced and not up to standard at all.
