I forgot about Clonkeen minijimmy but I think it wouldnt be rated as highly as Oatlands and Benildus. Well Oatlands is a feeder for its secondary school and holly park doesn't have a secondary so technically not a feeder school for anywhere else.
In my view is advisable to look into the ethos of the school. My experience is with Kill o the grange primary school. I found it to be very pushy academically which may sound good but can lead to bullying as the strong kids start to bully the weaker ones. My child was bullied over a 3 year period and this was not resolved despite repeated complaints.

I have since moved my child and am very happy with the new school which is a much happier and more inclusive environment. Holly Park has a great reputation as a boys school and although it doesn't have a feeder school for secondary there are many options for secondary including Oatlands Secondary.
So it's not that X Primary School has a feeder school - it's that Y post-primary school has a number of feeder schools, which 'feed' their pupils into the post-primary. My child had a very bad experience with bullying in a a primary school in south county dublin. It is not an isolated incident and I know from discussions with other parents in the school that it was not just my child.
The school is not managing bullying well. I mentioned this school by name a few posts back. My post was removed. Is it the case that a school can only be named if positive things are being said? If this is the case I am saddened that I cannot relay my experience on a public forum to warn others. My child has left the school at his own request and is now happily settled in another school.
He is like a different child and I am extremely happy with the new school. I think you are right Roses, I have had a similar experience on RC, I was astonished at the speed at which the post naming a school, and something that was reported in the media, was removed.
